Add the Time of Meals
When logging meals, it would be useful to log the time of meal. This is important for anyone who is practising intermittent fasting and wanting to keep 14-16 hours between dinner and breakfast (for example)

JanetI do 16 :8 intermittent fasting. So i have no breakfast. But i can't change it. So i have always to much for lunch and dinner. Maybe i mean the same as the suggestion above but i did not understand what was meant by " log time of meal"....english is not my language.

Heather BrecklerIt would be helpful to track snacking times. If I know I snack a lot at a certain time, I can prepare by drinking water to hopefully get rid of that urge during that time.

PatriciaTime of meals would be wonderfull! I currently set the daytime names to timeperiods to help me a little in categorizing but to be able to actually log the Time would be much better. Granted, you might not have the possibility to calculate the recommended intake, so for people who want to leave it as it is maybe make this a toggle feature?

Łukasz Krawczyk MergedI usually adding meal, when I eat, and sometimes I forgot time when I was exactly eating, and in my diet it's really important, to eat for example: after 2 hours. And I could just check time when I added the meal. You could also add then reminder, that I can set.

AnnaAlso, it would help if I could use the „time of meal“ feature to add meals from the day before. I was at a wedding yesterday, didn’t log everything during the party, came home after midnight and couldn’t edit this wedding day anymore. Would be great to have the option to add afterwards. Think using the date/time feature could fix this. And yes I known, I’m supposed to log everything before I eat. But I sometimes struggle to do so 😇 thank you guys for considering!

BoglárkaIn summer i don't have any schedule, and time of meals would give some kind of timetable for my day, so i wouldn't ever lose my schedule... But it would only be great, if we could edit the times, for those people who are working or studying, and don't have time to eat that time, when the app says...

Annafixing meal times is very important for developing a habit and controlling eating in general. it would be very nice if there will be some window where I could bring the meal time. and then it will be visible near to the photo or instead of the photo if the photo was not uploaded

TomiI think the most important aspect of this is that you can eat your daily calories after 8 pm and your day will be green but obviously the effect won't be beneficial.

Rich KennyYes please! I'm also fasting 20:4 and this would be a great help. The last app I used had it and it was a great way to keep on top of things.
All around, it would better suit a great amount of users because the app can be intelligent and log whether the fast is sucessfull or not, and also will round up the week better with a true count of overall fasting.

Anika Wyss MergedTo have the ability to input the TIME along side any meals/snacks/caloric consumption throughout the day. The option to rename, as well as add meals, since not everyone adheres to the traditional 3-meals-a-day routine.
As an intermittent faster, I think this would be very beneficial, since my first meal (technically breakfast) doesn't often happen before noon. Perhaps athletes who may eat more smaller meals throughout the day, or anybody else who just doesn't adhere to the traditional routine of meals. -

AugustoFully agree. Determining at what times meals will occur is important for planning the meals. As of now, my 16:8 intermittent fasting excludes breakfast (normal) but also snacks, because the app considers snack to be in the morning, apparently. So the app plans my caloric intake in only 2 meals, lunch and dinner, theoretically excluding the possibility that I will eat lunch, snack, and then dine. It would be great to have a more accurate caloric plan from being able to tell the app that, even though I do intermittent fasting, I eat three meals!

MARTHA TAYLORYes!!! It would help with meal plans that call for eating every 3 hours also. Intermittent fasting but also eating small meals throughout the day to keep metabolism up is important, but sometimes I get busy and forget (was it 1 or 2 that I last ate 😅). Simply being able to log a time for meals would also help because every day I break my fast at a different time. No need to reset my schedule or try to keep track on my own.

henna MergedI have been advised to eat every 3-4 hours. It would be very good if I would add the time when I have been eating. Some people might also benefit if there was start and end time for the eating. It would be also nice to have a set notification for every 3 hours for better results. Right now I have to actually write down the times I have been eating and set my alarm to remind me every 3 hours.

tm0wThis is a must-have for me, I need to know when was the last time I ate proteins, and carbs to don't exceed my absorption rate.
This is especially useful when logging multiple meals per day. I eat 6 meals a day, so it's important to know the time -

ArchieI see this has been asked for some years. I would totally love to add the time I had my meals to analyse and better my habits! Also to know if I've been fasting or not. It would be a really useful feature.
One thing I would personally note is that I don't really care when I logged them to the app, but I do care about when I actually had the meal, so it'd be useful to be able to select a different time than the submission one. :) -

AmandaIs it possible or within your app design, to include a drop-down menu beside the meal labels for the time of eating? I have started medication and would to record what time I ate, I need to calculate how long before or after eating I can take a medication or supplement to avoid interactions with food/an empty stomach.
