Target values for micronutrients
As well as targets for macronutrients, it would be useful to add targets for particular micronutrients, such as sugar and fibre to ensure you are eating the daily recommended amounts.

This would also explain the importance of macronutrients. I have insulin resistance and it would be great if the carbohydrates would show up at the list when I added a food type and not the calories of the e.g.: egg. Or if one could choose this option. Also if I could add the time I ate the dish. I couldn't find any good product for tracking theese.Maybe this could be an advantage for choosing yazio for people like me -

TGI am trying to increase calcium, limit cholesterol, and increase iron. This would be very helpful if you’d add suggested targets, or let us create and track our own.

KasiaExactly - also those fields should be obligatory when you enter new food, now rarely we can count on the statistics of sugar or fibre intake.

Isabel HI contacted Yazio yesterday for the same thing. If we pay for PRO we should at least be able to set micro goals and see if we reached them. Because I recognized I am eating too little micros, I've been focussing so much on macros.

ValeriePlease add The target for minerals and vitamins. This would allow us to check that we are having the daily recommended intake of micronutriments while being on diet.

TJ MergedCurrently, I don't know how much sugar level we are taking. I understand its part of carbs but nice to have at least for the pro users.

Sergey Dolya MergedThe latest trend in loosing wait is calorie density. Calorie density is a measure of the calorie content of food relative to its weight or volume. Choosing foods with a low calorie density can help with weight loss.

At the moment I have to export data from Yazio to Excel every day to calculate this value.
And it would be too perfect, if you could add it to every food in a meal and maybe color code all the food.
0-60 calories per 100 g - Green
60-150 - Yellow
150-400 - orange
400 - 900 - red -

Dominik MergedRight now, we can track micronutrients such as iron, magnesium, vitamins etc.. but the fact that I injested 29mg of iron for example, tells me nothing alone. Just like injesting 100g of protein tells me nothing, if I dont know I am supposed to eat 130g..

My suggestion is, put referential value in there so instead of 29mg, we see 29mg / 50mg (ref) That will allow us to spot deficiencies and a goal to aim for. -

ChristinaIt will be the next step for this up and a breakthrough against others of the same type! Many people have problems with specific micronutrients. For example pregnant women! I look forward for this upgrate!

AndyThis feature is really missing. And also the scale of the graphics bars are not according to the daily intake. Exemple: vitamin B12 has to be shown in mcg scale, because less than 1 mg should be enough daily consumption. Whilst Calcium can be shown in mg, on the scale of hundreds of mg. Some other nutrients are enough on much less amount. This also should be reviewed and properly scaled, not to be showing “<1mg” innacurately

LauraI fully agree, this would be a fulnerable admittment specially for those with special needs.
I'd like to add that the targets for minerals and vitamins depend on the cou try you live. This may be connected to the lanque choice of the user. -

Claudia KokFor my keto diet and my intestinal problems, it is important to me how much and which fiber my meal/product contains. I would like this to be made possible in the app

WillMy comment to support was:
Obviously dieting is tricky and choosing the right foods that are also palatable is a pretty individual thing. I would really value the ability to report my nutrition data and compare it with RDA's to make sure I'm not accidentally leaving myself deficient in some thing important. It would probably be a good thing to have as a standard weekly report if only to help choose a supplement if required... -

LeonardoIt would be great to have this feature. Other apps like FDDB have this. It would help people keep track of their daily intake of nutrients, especially for those like B vitamins, which need to be taken daily because they cannot be stored

TristanSo there was many requests for this since 2019 but it looks like it's not planned yet. Even though it's really a small change to do considering the tracking of all those nutriments is already there. All they need to do is add a reference daily intake...

MauroAs already stated by the other users above, it is very important not only to track the micronutrients but to set also a limit/target. For example, suffering of hypercholesterolemia, it is quite important to understand if my saturated fats or added sugars are within limits.

With my upvote we are at 124 requests from the community about this feature. Is there any threshold to reach to take into account this option? -

JustinYikes. Well. Here’s an upvote lol. Though not looking good if I’m seeing comments from 4 years ago. Tracking all nutrients in a nutrient tracking app with custom goals or simply RDI would be great. 👍
