Food database: report/remove wrong information

There are lots of wrong nutritional information what other users have added. It would be great if there were a "DELETE" or "REPORT TO ADMINISTER" option when you notice this.

Add option to submit product photos for review, with barcode, nutrition facts, etc. Add voting options for local users in review mode.

Maybe someway to distinguish between "official" foods and "user created" foods? Even a simple icon next to official entries would be better than nothing.

When reporting a product it is not possible to indicate that it has been entered with the wrong unit, ie grams instead of milliliters. It would be good to be able to report this as well.

It is not possible to report Verified Entries for incorrect values due to the missing report button.
Yes it is possible for incorrect values to show up in Verified Entries (probably because of a mishandling of comma and dot decimal separators in different countries) as shown in the attached screenshot of a Verified Omlette entry.

Having a report button for these would be a great addition so we can report edge cases like these so we can be 100% sure verified entries are indeed accurate and won't mess up nutrition calculations.

I saw it on the Italian government website. The data is incorrect often. It would be nice if they took the information from here.

a simple coding could scrub for obvious errors. As I said in another post, I've been eating 2.5 lbs (1.3 kg) of sodium daiy because items have 150,00 to 500,00 mg of sodium listed. WHY?

I would also like to have "REPORT VERIFIED FOOD" option. I noticed that in the app it says on verified chia seeds carbohydrates 42,1 grams per 100 grams. The bag of chia seeds I have has 0,9 grams of carbs and it is not even advertised to be low in carbs. Now I have googled chia seed products and some have around 10 g of carbs, many have just 2-3 g. That is a big difference to verified 42,1 g!!!

It would be good if there was either option to report verified food. OR if there was multiple options for verified food, like in this case, the verified one should be Chia seeds high in carbs, or something like that. OR the verified product should represent an average product. OR it would be nice to have a possibility to add many vitamins and minerals at once on foods you add yourself.

I have usually trusted the verified products but 42,1 g versus 0,9 g carbs is very big difference.

This has been a frequent complaint of mine, especially when the items have the “verified” tag next to it. Not only are many of the nutrients off, the serving sizes are very frequently incorrect and have an impact on nutrition values that are shared to other applications (specifically Apple Health in my case. I primarily use this app for nutrient tracking and calorie counting secondarily.).

I’ve repeatedly sent emails in and the results have been less than stellar. Very few of the items have been updated, at the last request I was told there was an “edit” feature on each item which 1) there wasn’t, and 2) is a horrible idea for the general user. The second answer was for me to input a new food item for each and every error into the database, which has me feeling several things, most importantly that I paid for this service and it should therefore have the mass produced items (ie branded food stuffs) automatically included, correctly labeled, and available for use.
