Buddy info disappearing each evening

I have 1 "buddy" that I share info with. Every evening (I'm not sure exactly when but probably around 7pm or 8pm) his information is reset and his numbers show 0 for the day. The same thing happens for him trying to see my data.
We are both in the United States in Eastern Standard Time. I'm wondering if maybe the data resets at midnight in Germany maybe? Just a guess.
Can we have a way to set our timezone or something like that to fix this?
I have an android and he has an iphone and we both have this same issue.
